Subject: BDS2006: (Auto-)Saving Component Wizard Settings [Print This Page]

Hello all,

my BDS2006-IDE is extemly instable, that means that I can't exit the IDE normally. Usually I must kill the process, even for loading new projectgroups. Unfortunately new Prefixes are then lost. Therefore  I want to ask whether there is an convenient way to save the settings (I mean not making an export), or much better whether something like (an optionally) autosave-feature can be added?

Thanks

In fact, most Wizards of our CnWizards will save settings to Registry after pressing OK on its config form, not until IDE Exiting.
But I just checked our code. The settings of Prefix Wizards 'forget' the saving after show config form. It's our fault for your inconvenience.

Thank you for your reporting. We'll correct it.

Hello Passion,

is that problem solved? Can I download the fixed sources from somewhere?
I'm still using 0.8.0.217, where can I get the sources of that version?

Thanks

Now the latest source is 0.8.2.332 with the problem fixed.
Nightly build can be download from

Latest Source can be obtained by CVS:

Hello Passion,

since some days I'm testing 0.8.2.332_Unstable Build 2007.09.19, but I don't think
the problem is solved. Overall the behaviour of the Component Wizard is now very
odd - I wasn't able to save a prefix of a TButton even when BDS2006 didn't crash.

Thanks
